Domsgard

Domsgard is a viking music project forging nordic battle anthems from the mythic North. Founded in July 2025 and based in Austria, Domsgard stands as a core artist of the Nordwald label and one of the fastest rising names in norse pagan folk music. The sound is carved from viking war drums, ancestral chants, deep ritual percussion and dark viking ambient textures: music for longships on black water, for shield walls at dawn, for fires burning through the winter night.

Every release walks the old paths of Norse mythology. Runes and forgotten gods, berserkers and blood oaths, frozen fjords and the long shadow of Ragnarök run through the songs like a red thread. Domsgard does not write soundtracks about the Viking age from a safe distance; it summons the age itself, in slow ritual soundscapes and thundering war hymns built to raise the pulse and still the mind at once.

The saga moved fast. In little over a year Domsgard released eleven full albums and multiple singles, among them Ulfar i skugga, Víkingr, Blóð ok Rúnir, Dagr, Godar, Myrkr, Skaldheim, Frostheim, Krigsmerke, Oaths of the Old North and UPPSALA. That fire found its horde: more than 205,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and over 11 million views on YouTube now follow the drums, and the warband grows with every moon.

Listeners who ride with Danheim, Wardruna, Heilung and SKÁLD will find familiar ground here, yet Domsgard cuts its own path through the pines. The project has also joined forces with Nordic artist Eldruna on the track "Slag", a meeting of two voices from the same cold world. From the first drum to the last echo, this is viking music made to be felt in the chest: nordic battle anthems for training, storytelling, gaming and the long roads in between.
